While the player controls Jack after the game ends, it is unknown what exactly he does with his life.
It would be interesting to see a game or DLC set after these events. His parents wanted him to leave a life of crime behind, so maybe he did. With the game ending in , there are many options for Jack, such as fighting in WWI or being one of the last outlaws.
It should be expected, but Jack is depressed when the player takes control of him. With his parents dead, the gang he once loved dead or gone, and a hatred for the government — all before he turned 20 — there are valid reasons for Jack to feel depressed.
